Cobb, in southwest Oklahoma.  Strong winds a few days ago scattered peanuts across a large 160 acre field and now they are left with trying to find a solution to picking up the peanuts or suffer a possible $75,000 loss.

 

 

On this week’s show we talk with Jimmie Musick, who farms near Sentinel in southwest Oklahoma. He is President of the National Association of Wheat Growers and he says wheat planting is about wrapped up.  However, he still has more than 1,000 acres of cotton to harvest.

 

 

 

On this week’s show we talk with Dr. Bill Tierney, chief economist for AgResource Company, Chicago, about wheat and soybean prices.  We also talk with David Zummallen, who farms near Okarche, Okla., about the impact of snow and cold this week.
